Claude 3.5 Sonnet major problems - keeps stopping and asking if I want it to continue, can't follow basic instructions

I am providing a full outline to Claude 3.5 Sonnet to write blog posts. It used to write the entire thing without stopping. Now it stops every few hundred words asking if it wants me to continue.

This never used to happen. It always used to write the whole thing.

Siddhartha Yeah. It's a shame. Is the new Haiku 3.5 in place?

Yup, its already live but we have kept it as a separate model (given different pricing from anthropic).

Hey Guy, thanks for pointing! We have updated Sonnet to their latest version (https://www.anthropic.com/claude/sonnet). We'll try switching back and update here. Maybe its some issue with their new model.

Siddhartha Unfortunately, this has not helped. It keeps stopping after about 350 words.
I have not used Claude 3.5 in about a month. Were there any other updates in between then and now?
This has made Claude 3.5 unusable for me, which was a big reason I upgraded to Pro.

As you can see, it says it's continuing, but it's not. This was working perfectly about 5 weeks ago.

Hey Guy, no update on the API side from us. We can try one thing and that is to make GPT-4o alpha (longer output) model live. That might help here.

Siddhartha It appears a number of people around the internet are having this issue with Claude, from an update they did a few days ago.
It's made it a lot less useful, unfortunately.
Is there a Haiku update? Apparently that is like old Claude 3.5.

Guy: Haiku for now is same. They will release haiku 3.5 soon

It's also messing up simple requests, like formatting.
Or if I ask it to add to an outline, it just gives back the additions and not the whole thing.
These things NEVER used to happen.

I can even say "continue without stopping", and it still stops. Then says it's not stopping when it is. See images.

Siddhartha I don't know what's changed from about a month ago, but it keeps stopping every 200 words or so and I have to keep asking it to continue.
It used to write 3000 - 4000 words without stopping.
This is a HUGE pain.
Is there anything you can do about this?
