Thank you for sharing your experiences and for your patience, especially around slow performance and file uploads on Pro.

We’ve recently shipped improvements to how attachments are handled, so file uploads should now be significantly more reliable and should no longer fail or hang as before. For the general chat slowness and cases where responses don’t come through or get cut off, we’re still actively monitoring this.

I have the same problem, bought a pro subscription but its uberable slow. On the app its even worse. 50% of the large questions doesnt generate a response and gives an error.

Same here, it takes about 20 to 30 seconds, and when a file is uploaded (of size 1 MB) , it even takes 2 to 3 minutes or more, and always ends up showing an error, and requires to tap refresh, and sometimes refresh doesn't even work. In chatgpt or other platforms, it takes at best 20 seconds when uploading a file, and an error only shows from a network connection, and rarely shows from some other reason, and even if it does, it easily gets refreshed. I remember that half an year ago, it wasn't this slow, it almost matched the speed of original platforms, so please fix this!

Same here. Slow responses. Occasionally faster (maybe during off-hours?) but generally 30+ seconds (!) for a response. Also, the Merlin app frequently (~50% of prompts) freezes and never responds until I click stop and refresh, or just refresh (in instances when it's "finished" thinking but generated no answer (perhaps 5-10% of prompts do this).

I've been recording the console network tab all day because I seriously can't take it anymore. The chrome extension is so slow. All answers take about 30 seconds to generate. Unfortunately, the "waiting for server" seems to take 95% of the time.

same problem, even with "light" model like sonnet 3.5

i just got a pro plan, and so many times when trying to use Gemini Pro 2 or other AI bots directly, I type in my inquiry, and then the only response I get is just two asterisks. Or, a half a sentence response that is cut off and no matter how many times I hit refresh, nothing new happens. Horrendous
