Summary
When attempting to export a generated Mermaid diagram as a .png file in Merlin AI, the export function does not work. Clicking the "Export as .png" button produces no response or downloaded file.
Steps to Reproduce
- Generate a Mermaid diagram in Merlin AI (in this case, generated by the Claude Sonnet 4.5 model).
- Click on the Export as .png option.
- Observe that nothing happens—no file is downloaded, and no error message is displayed.
Expected Result
The diagram should be exported and downloaded as a .png file.
Actual Result
Clicking the Export as .png button has no effect. No file is downloaded, and no feedback is provided to the user.
Additional Context
• Export to .svg works correctly.
• Issue is reproducible consistently.
Tested environments:
• Google Chrome (latest version) on Windows 11
• Google Chrome (latest version) on macOS
Severity
Medium – The bug prevents users from exporting diagrams in format, which is a common format for sharing and embedding visuals.
