REPOST: MOBILE UI SUGGESTIONS

Is it not possible for a possible ui change? To make it similar to other ai ui designs.
Deepseek ui is honestly the best ui there is, it's minimal, clean and never have an issue scrolling back. Everything is smooth and polish. Merlin takes a while to load back past messages.
Here are the things that are honestly what deepseek excels at
- New chat head button literally at a click rather than clicking a back button in merlin.
- Chat history button at the side rather than a back button. Just skipping the middle part of merlin basically.
- Minimalist chatbox and top notch readability due to proper text format spacings, merlin have too many unnecessary spaces use, too cluttered for me to be honest.
- Button at the side rather than in the middle. When typing it literally blocks the barely seen text output.
- Smaller text, or if possible to add adjustable text size.(the most important part in terms of readability)
- Gray theme.
- Preference: chat head have it's own actual chat head box design to seperate user prompt to ai output.
- Edit is as easy as clicking it at the side. At merlin, when edit text button is clicked, there is no way to cancel it.
- Bubble icon to seperate it further, and
- And finally, it's thinking is directly shown, due to its smaller text it's able to show it easily as it's collapsible. At merlin you have to click expand just to see it. The user text is too large making the user do the hassle of scrolling it down further just to see it. It's also very hard to see the separation of user and ai output. Barely any difference of distinguishing both.
Screenshot shown:
- Spacing comparison
- Chatbox too large and middle arrow
- Chatbox showcase with text, barely able to see the ai output
- Thinking output design, expand and collapse
- Barely separation of user and ai output. Suggestion of adding chat head to user and making text more smaller, and it's comparison
Edit: (Additional Experience)
- When the ai finished it's output it automatically scrolls down. It's hard if I'm backreading I have to go all the way up again.

The desktop version is quite good, But the mobile version not so much, I hope it's possible to integrate a mobile website for merlin eather than an app only

Hi Monde! Thanks a lot for this detailed feedback—we really appreciate it. We’re in the process of updating the mobile UI, and we’ve also felt for quite some time that it needed more attention. We’ll work on coming up with solutions for the issues you’ve pointed out. Thanks again for sharing! 😊

Correction of Theme Colour
A
Amit Anand
Merlin update earlier this month provided a light translucent background colour of the AI selection menu. Shortly a new update came and that colour was removed. It looked great. I am requesting to please bring it back as it also matches the rest of the light theme. Having a dark area in an otherwise light theme dosen't makes sense.

Suggestions for Enhancing the Application and Improving User Experience
Saruntanit Phauphattapong
Dear Developer,
I would like to offer additional suggestions for improving your application to enhance features and user experience:
Development of Project System on iOS
I recommend accelerating the development process to ensure it works efficiently on iOS, to support users who seek convenience in a cross-platform application.
Making the App More User-Friendly
In addition to improving the interface for easy understanding and use, I also suggest considering the addition of a support system within the app, such as an automatic assistance feature or a Q&A feature, enabling users to easily find answers on how to use the app.
Memory Features for AI: Short-Term and Long-Term
Adding functionality that allows AI to remember user information in both short-term and long-term contexts would greatly enhance the app's capabilities and make the AI feel "smarter." For example:
Short-Term Memory: This would help AI remember information relevant to ongoing conversations or projects.
Long-Term Memory: This would allow AI to recall important data such as user preferences or past project details.
These features would elevate the AI's service to better cater to user needs and foster a stronger bond between users and the app.

Hide prompt section iOS
Frantz
I would like the ability to hide the prompt field section. Currently, it takes up almost a quarter of the screen on an iPhone 14 Max Pro. When reading responses, it would be helpful to use the full screen. Therefore, a simple method to hide and then reveal the prompt area when ready to continue the conversation would be appreciated.

hi
I liked the old layout better (model between send icon and attachments) instead of the new which goes above the message

Interface
Mark Levit
Merlin is one of the most useful tools I have at my disposal. My only wish, or suggestion, is the interface be more user-friendly. I sometimes find myself at a loss for finding a function I believe Merlin has, but I can’t find.
Are there tutorial videos in your Help pages or elsewhere that could guide users through effective and efficient use of Merlin?
