Hey there,
We launched Plugins inside Merlin in Beta, enabled by Model Context Protocol, which allows you to connect external apps like Notion, Google Workspace, X, Slack, etc. to Merlin for data import and open up export possibilities.
(You can enable Plugins from Labs. It is still experimental and thus, may break or act rogue. Go to the Plugins section and try a command out, like "Write a post on X saying 'Merlin x MCP is awesome!'"
We'll soon be doubling down on MCP and you'll start to see MCP plugins across features of the Merlin ecosystem like Projects, Deep Research and Mobile App.
This allows you to do stuff like:
- Do research on Merlin and send it to Slack
- Export stuff as Google Docs/Sheets
- Take tickets from Linear/Github and act on them inside Merlin
- Use SerpAPI to analyse stocks
For the uninitiated, here's a cool demo that helps you schedule timeblocks on your Google Calendar using a To-do list on Notion, using just one prompt on Merlin.
