CURRENT SITUATION: As of late 2025, Merlin’s Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) feature has become outdated and very limited.

FEATURE REQUEST:
Merlin should update its OpenAI Key settings to fully support OpenAI-Compatible API Keys, which are now the industry standard for accessing AI models via BYOK.
This improvement would enable users to enter a 🔗 Base URL and an 🔑 API key to seamlessly select and use their OpenAI-Compatible Provider models.
Competitive Context:
Other AI assistants such as Sider and Harpa already offer generic OpenAI-Compatible API setup, including model configuration within the BYOK settings.
