I am a regular user of Merlin and truly appreciate the excellent service you provide. I am reaching out to inquire if there are any plans to integrate the latest AI models—specifically Opus 5.0 and Sonnet 5.0—into your platform.
Having access to these updated models would greatly enhance the user experience and expand the capabilities of Merlin. I believe many users, including myself, would find this addition incredibly valuable for our workflows.
Could you let me know if these models are currently on your development roadmap, and if so, roughly when we might expect them to be available?

We’re sorry for the delay in bringing newer models to Merlin, and for not communicating updates clearly enough. We understand your frustration, especially when you rely on Merlin for your daily workflows.
We’ve now updated our lineup with the latest text models, including:
- Claude Opus 5 and Claude Sonnet 5
- GPT 6 Astra
- GPT 5.6 Sol, Luna, and Terra
- Kimi K3
- MiniMax M3
- GLM 5.3
- Gemini 3.8 Flash
- DeepSeek v4 Pro and Flash
You can find these in Merlin’s model selector and start using them now.

The currently available models stopped at Opus 4.8, Sonnet 4.6, GPT 5.5, Gemini 3.5, Kimi K2.6, etc. A lot of changes happened on the market since these models debuted. I'd really like to have access to models like the Sonnet 5, GPT 5.6 (and the 6, which just came out), the Kimi K3, and other new releases. And I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I think adding Opus 5.0 and Sonnet 5.0 would be a valuable improvement. Many users would benefit from having access to the latest models, especially for more advanced workflows. It would be great to know if these models are already being considered for a future Merlin update.

Enter the new frontier models according to intelligence indices, replacing the old ones at the same cost of use. So the various GPT 5.6, Claude Sonnet 5, Claude Fable 5, Kimi K3, GLM 5.2 etc...
