I am writing to express my deep appreciation for the MERLIN API and to request that you reconsider the decision to discontinue this incredible product.
As a loyal user of MERLIN API, I have found it to be an invaluable tool that has greatly enhanced my productivity and efficiency. The ease of integration and the wide range of built-in AI capabilities have been instrumental in helping me achieve my goals. Your product has truly been a game-changer for me.
I understand that discontinuing a product is never an easy decision, and there may be various factors that led to this choice. However, I strongly believe that MERLIN API has a unique value proposition that sets it apart from other offerings in the market. Its user-friendly interface and powerful features have made it an essential part of my workflow.
While I respect your decision, I kindly request that you consider the impact this discontinuation will have on users like myself who have come to rely on MERLIN API. If there is any possibility of keeping the product available, even with limited support or updates, it would be greatly appreciated by the user community.
If the discontinuation is inevitable, I would be grateful if you could provide clear guidance on alternative solutions or recommendations for products that can offer similar functionality. This would help ease the transition and ensure that users can continue to meet their needs.

endu the fact that this took like a year and a half to reply to is a clear signal that this is not a company focused on developing a product based on users needs and that actually you don't take customer requests into consideration at all. To be honest there's not much actual value on Merlin considering what new platforms are doing, Claude, Gemini, OpenAI, Kimi, etc the list is long.
I understand that the Merlin team doesn't care about what the clients need or about client opinion, that's been clear for many years since the is practically no communication between the dev team and clients, no actual updates to the changelog, the things that are published on the changelog are more like feature announcements and not regular updates, no tutorials, no help videos, no useful documentation, office hours, webinars, workshops, etc.
It's just a real shame that the platform could be extremely useful but the team behind it is more focused on making money than being loyal to it's customers.

Heyyy, sincerely sorry for the long wait on this, and we really appreciate your patience and passion for Merlin.
After careful consideration, we've decided not to move forward with a public Merlin API at this time. We know this isn't the answer many of you were hoping for, and we don't take that lightly.
That said, we're channelling our energy into making the core Merlin experience even better, and we're excited about what's ahead. I'll be moving this ticket to "Closed".

Yuan Hey, that's a totally fair point, and I hear you. To be transparent, this decision was actually made quite a while ago, but as we were juggling other core building blocks and priorities, it kept getting pushed down the list and was eventually dropped quite a while ago.
The mistake on our end. We should have communicated this to you all much sooner instead of leaving it open this long. That's on us, and I sincerely apologise for that.

With AI Agents exploding in 2026, it makes sense for the Merlin team to come up with a sustainable and reasonable policy and bring API use to the platform.
I love Merlin, but in 2026 I realized that if API doesn't come to Merlin in the future my use of the platform will likely diminish over time
Please add API access to models for AI agents and projects

endu Thanks for the reply, the update is much appreciated. I have un-subbed from Pro as I feel like I have outgrown this platform. No API and the lag between new models being implemented have pushed me away from Merlin. I feel kinda sad as a year ago merlin was what helped me alot but with AI Agents now how I use AI, Merlin doesnt fit for me and the platform and models feel like Im still in late 2025.
Im going to keep coming back and checking to see if the API access comes back at some stage in the future and maybe go Pro once again. Im trying to find excuses for me coming back and using it tbh

I'm joining the petition; the work you do is very important.
Restoring that API would change my decision to not use your service, which is excellent for the time being.
I need a way to connect directly to the AI models, and using you as an intermediary was the best option.
