REMOVE MONTHLY LIMIT! SCANDALOUS FALSE ADVERTISING
closed
Outright removing the term "unlimited" after buying the plan is outright scandalous.
It's fine if you limit it's fair use daily, but adding MONTHLY limits? That's adding salt to the wound. It's outright handicapping it's user significantly. It isn't "fair use" anymore, but another term for "not upon agreed limit"
It makes the daily usage limit basically useless. Since it's the same percentage to the monthly limit anyway, it'll be depleted in around 1000 queries per month. Clearly, false advertising.

Hello ,
We understand that discussions around usage limits can be frustrating, and we genuinely appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns with us.
We want to address any confusion directly:
- Our Fair Use policy and therefore, the monthly limits have always been clearly documented and prominently displayed on our website pages since launch. This information has been consistently available to all users before and after subscription, ensuring full transparency about what's included with each plan.
- We recognize that usage restrictions can feel limiting, and we don't take the decision to implement them lightly. These policies, which have been part of our service structure from day one, help us maintain a sustainable service that we can continue to improve and offer at competitive rates.
- Through this approach, we're able to provide exceptional value - our Pro users receive 5x the fair use limits compared to what they pay. For example, a $20 subscription includes $100 worth of fair usage monthly. When compared to similar offerings from other platforms in the market (who have usage caps of $20-$50 per month), we believe our offering is very liberal.
- We've even recently made our pricing page more detailed to enhance clarity, though the core policy information has always been the same.
Despite all this, we understand our service may not be the right fit for everyone's needs. If you feel our current structure doesn't work for you, please do not hesitate to reach out to support@getmerlin.in to discuss a cancellation or refund.
You don't even need to approach your card provider or Stripe, we offer direct refunds and cancellations -- please just write to us and we would be happy to support your request.

I agree totally! Terrible, unethical people. That said, if you feel strongly, please complain to your card company and stripe - these people need to understand what they have done.
